The sun-moon fish is a shellfish . Its shell is orange-red on one side (the sun) and off-white on the other (the moon), hence the name "sun-moon fish." Another explanation for the name is that "sun-moon" means "bright," and given its eye-improving properties, it's also known as "eye-brightening fish."
