Soaking method
Specification SM dried fish maw
- Steam the dried fish maw for about 5 minutes. Let it cool to room temperature, soak it in clean water again, and refrigerate it ( 0-4 °C ) for 1 day.
Dried fish maw (L or larger)
- Soak the dried fish maw in clean water and refrigerate for 1 day.
- Remove the fish maw and steam it for about 10 minutes. Let it cool to room temperature, soak it in clean water again, and refrigerate it for up to 2 days.
* For larger or hard fish maws, repeat the process in [ Step 2] until they are completely softened *
Notes:
- To remove the fishy smell, steam it with ginger slices and green onions/rice wine.
- The water must be changed every day during the process and the dish must be placed in the refrigerator to prevent bacterial growth.
- The process must not come into contact with oil, which may cause foaming failure.
- It is recommended to use a larger container and more water for soaking.
- Steaming can lock in nutrients, while boiling in water will cause the nutrients to be lost.
Storage method
- It is recommended to place it in a cool, dry place with good ventilation (it can be placed in the moisture-proof bag included in the package)
- If you are unsure, we strongly recommend storing it in a refrigerator ( -18 °C or below)
Notes:
- Can be stored with a few star anise for insect repellent effect
- Try to avoid direct sunlight and moisture
- In humid weather, it is recommended to refrigerate ( 0-4 ° C )
* If pre-soaked, do not cook immediately. Please store in the refrigerator ( -18 °C or below) until ready to use *
